The owners of the VMAT Home website were looking for a messaging expert to help them improve the conversion rate of their online store.
I used their sizable cache of customer reviews to identify the problems people were trying to solve by using a vinyl mat from VMAT instead of an area rug, and reworked the wording of the headlines to more clearly show the value of this relatively unfamiliar product.
They were quite pleased with the result!
VMAT homepage header - "how does this make my life better" is very clear.
This tension between beauty and function was a big concern for buyers, so we addressed it with text and quotes from happy customers.
The "explanatory paragraph" section brings the message of the page together in one place for people who like to scroll and read.
Clear value statements and supporting quotes make it easier for someone unfamiliar with vinyl mats to understand why and where to use them.
